Branch’s One-Year Old Cake Smash & Family Photos
When the Hryckiewicz family reached out to me for their cake smash photography session, I couldn’t have been happier! This family is quite special to me since we've been working together for six years! We first met when Kimberly, the mom, was pregnant with her first little one, who is five now. At the time I was pregnant with my own daughter Finley, so her maternity session was quite memorable! I've really enjoyed watching their family, and their kids, grow over the years!
This session was for Branch, their newest baby, and we did half cake smash photography and one year photos, and half family session!
Part 1: The Cake Smash Photography Session
For the cake smash photography session we used a hole-in-one theme with golf balls and a little putter green, which was super cute! Branch wasn't feeling the cake at all, but he gave me so many smiles to capture, along with a few tears. My favorite part of all cake smashes is that the little ones usually start happy but the session always ends in a few tears, which gives us some of the most classic cake smash photos you can get!
I always enjoy showing kids their cake smash photography photos when they're older, Finley sure loves looking back at hers! Seeing how these kids grow is always so special, and I really can't believe that Branch is already one year old. They grow so fast!
Part 2: The Family Session
We did the outside portion with the family at an actual golf course! We snapped some cute photos of Branch on the putter green. We also got some great photos of the whole family, mom and dad both holding Branch as well as a few of Branch with his older brother. Overall the whole session was fantastic, and I can't wait to see this family again for the next milestone!
