I love love love anniversary sessions!  Jess emailed me wanting to celebrate their first wedding anniversary by wearing their wedding attire in Old Town Alexandria.  We planned for a weekday night in December and could not have had a better evening.  It was freezing, BUT Jess and Danny were troopers and the light was amazing!!  Alexandria was empty, which never happens, so we had our pick of incredible locations to work with.  These two looked incredible and their session was so much fun!  Here are my favorites!!

Meet Sawyer!!  I really cannot believe it but this little dude is almost 6 months old!  His newborn session felt like yesterday.  I remember it being a strangely warm fall morning and we were so lucky that we even got a few family shots outside!! From the little fox hat to the bear hat I had a blast snuggling this little man.  I really cannot wait to see him in 2 weeks for his 6 month session.  Not sure which images were my favorite so here are a bunch of them!

Meet adorable baby Grace!  This little love made me work for it :) But goodness it was WORTH IT!!  Look how adorable she is!!!  I had such a blast getting to snuggle her and meet her amazing parents!! Last December I got to meet the most beautiful baby girl!!  Meet little Miss Vivienne!!  We had a blast dolling her up in the cutest little headbands and even a tutu!!  She did so great at her session that we captured TONS of adorable setups and narrowing down my favorites was not easy! She is such a pretty little baby and I cannot wait to see her for her 6 month session!!!  Here are my favorites!

The first year of a baby's life is one of the most incredible times to witness.  From birth to 12 months they change so much and so quickly.  It is sooo important to capture that first year because you blink and it's over.  So when a client books a one year package after their maternity and newborn sessions I literally do back flips!  Watching this baby boy grow over the last 9 months has been so much fun.  Every session he looks so much more like a little boy and his personality just shines.  Jack is such a happy and handsome little boy and such a joy to photograph every few months.  Next up is his cake smash and I CANNOT WAIT!!  Here are a few of my favorite moments from his milestone sessions!!

ALLIE & DANIEL ARE ENGAGED | PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER | FREDERICKSBURG, VIRGINIA

Last fall I had a BLAST capturing these 2 love birds!!  I have known Allie for since she was in high school when we worked together at Panera. I have loved seeing her grow over the years as she went off to college, and every break we spent working together making sandwiches and sharing stories about boys and life!  I could not be happier for her to have met the man of her dreams.  And I was even more ecstatic after meeting him for their session because they are absolutely PERFECT together.  Their session was full flirting and laughter and I loved every second of it!  They even shared a yummy beer toast at the end.  It was incredible!  Here are a few of my favorites:

OH THAT GOLDEN LIGHT!!!  There is nothing like it!  Add a gorgeous mama and her adorable family and you get the recipe for an incredible maternity session.  Meet Kim and her family of 4 soon to be 5!  I had the pleasure of photographing this amazing family last November.  I had so much fun running around with the little ones and capturing her family's fun and playful spirit.  After we finished their last formal photos as a family of 4, I put Kim in a gorgeous Sew Trendy Accessories gown for her shining moment.  She was absolutely glowing!!  And like a pro rocked her solo maternity shots.  Here are a few of my favorites!

I love this family!!  I met Grissel and Josue when they were engaged and we shot their wedding back in October 2013.  Since then it has been a pleasure to capture their growing family, and their baby girl's milestones.  Shortly after this fall session Grissel let me know she was expecting baby number 2!! I could not be more excited to follow this journey with them as they meet baby number 2 later this summer!!  Here are a few of my favorites from last fall!!

Isn't Jackie just GORGEOUS!!??  This maternity session was SO much fun!! We started off with a little bit of family photos and ended with photos in the water!!  Jackie was such a trooper as I had her walking all over the river, I even managed to slip and fall in! HAHA! And somehow by a miracle Imanaged to be soaked everywhere except from my shoulder to camera holding hand, PHEW!!  Such an eventful way to end a gorgeous session.  Jackie you are stunning!!  Here are a few of my favorites:

One of my favorite families is on today's blog!!  I just adore these 3 and always have a blast running around with their gorgeous little girl, Emmy.  She is a ball of energy and so ADORABLE!!  We enjoyed their fall family session at Snead's Farm in Fredericksburg, Virginia.  It was a gorgeous and warm day in October and we enjoyed every second of the gorgeous golden light!  Here are a few of my favorites:
